ГДЕ ПОЯВИЛИСЬ ТЮЛЬПАНЫ?
Название этого любимого многими цветка происходит от персидского слова «toliban», что означает «тюрбан». Действительно, бутон тюльпана очень похож на восточный головной убор.
Родина тюльпана — Персия. Именно отсюда тюльпаны попали в Турцию, а в середине XVI века были привезены в Вену, откуда и началось их широкое распространение по всей Европе. Наибольшую популярность они получили в Голландии. Голландские садовники вывели огромное количество сортов.
Но лишь немногие могли позволить себе купить дорогостоящие луковицы тюльпанов, цена которых достигала порой астрономических высот. Например, за 3 луковицы можно было купить дом.
До сих пор в Голландии выращивают огромное количество тюльпанов разнообразных сортов, которые экспортируются в разные страны мира.
